In My Mothers Box

Sewed tail feathers all day yesterday, so today I took a break and sewed my little hexagon quilt together. I would never have bought any of these fabrics myself- they are much more mom's speed. She likes really bright, colorful quilts.  These were all in the little monthly packets of 5" squares my favorite quilt shop gave away last year.

Now all I have to do is figure out what to quilt on it!

  1. Not fabrics that I would choose either, but it is very bright and happy! Love that pattern!

  3. It looks like a little jewel box full of pretty treasures! Definitely not my kind of fabrics but they work so well here. It is good to get out of your comfort zone occasionally and have some fun.

  4. So bright and pretty for a cold winter day. It's always nice to work outside our boxes once in a while, right?

  5. Sometimes those louder colours/prints work better in smaller pieces. It looks really good.
