Update

Now I just have to figure out what to do with the edge... And hope the sun comes out for better pictures.

Mom's Quilt

Okay, I don't think we should call it "longarm quilting" anymore- I think we should call it "two weeks of ruler work and 8 hours of fun".

I was going to outline all of those colorful blocks in a neutral thread. Mom went ahead and ordered some monofilament thread for me because of all the colors. The outlines are now all completed. She was right of course (mom usually is) and thankfully it doesn't tick me off as much as when I was twelve. What a pain to work with invisible thread!!! I could hardly thread the machine.  Did I mention this is the FIRST full size quilt that I am doing by myself? Sometimes I think I get challenged way too much!

So now the fun stuff has started. I picked the DWR from Digitech Acanthus Designs
stitched in variegated thread.

Don't know if you can see it in the photo( the sun hasn't been out in a while here) but it is stitched in the colored blocks also.
