Back to Blogging

My life keeps getting away from me.....

I have a new laptop and I am hoping that it will be easier to keep up with writing this blog.  I just can't seem to manage adding the pictures using the iPad.  The new puppy has finally managed to settle down enough so that I can start sewing again, so hopefully I will have some things to post on a regular basis.

After a bout with health issues, I managed to talk mom into selling me her longarm sewing machine.  It got all packed up and arrived here last September.  After some practice, I decided that I was going to make a wholecloth quilt for one of my friends that took care of my house while I was up north taking care of my mom.  I started working on it in December and just finished it recently.  The top is made of polished cotton, which looks great finished but is not the easiest thing to work with. Particularly for a first project...

So here are some shots of the finished quilt:

  2. Just so you know, all your other recent posts are not showing up. It says the page does not exist. Don't know what's gone wrong. ---"Love"

    1. Hiya! One of the problems I had with the iPad was getting the photos loaded to the blog. I have the blog photos out on Google, but maxed out my storage space. So I deleted a bunch of them and messed up all of the blog entries..... I ended up deleting everything in the blog. :( So I guess I am starting over...

  5. Nice to see you here again Theri. You've been missed. I'm awfully sorry to learn that your mum has not been well and I wish her all the best. That is a stunning piece of work and of a standard we have come to know. I've never been able to load photos to the blog with iPad either.

  6. Absolutely gorgeous!! So good to have you back. I have my blogging buddies quilt on the back of my couch and often wonder about some of the members we haven't heard from for a while, so I'm glad to hear from you again.
